Candle Care

  • Burn your candle for at least 2 hours

100% soy wax is a "memory" wax. This means that if you only burn your candle halfway to the edges of the jar, the candle will only ever burn halfway to the edge and down it will go. Don't get the dreaded candle tunneling! Just burn your candle until the melted wax reaches the edge each time.

  • Trim your wick!

This is probably the most important rule to burning ANY candle, but especially wooden wick candles. There are a few reasons for this:

    1. Wooden wicks do not like to relight on old charred wood. So pinch or trim off the burnt bits before you light every time. Don't like the idea of using your fingers to get rid of the charred wood? You can use a wick trimmer instead. It really helps once the candle gets low. Grab one at the link below!

    2. Burning a candle with a long charred wick WILL create more smoke. This applies to cotton wicks as well!

  • Use An Appropriate Sized Room

Our candles do not have paraffin (a petroleum based wax that really help fragrance throw). Therefore soy wax will always have a softer fragrance throw. Our candle do have a stronger throw than others but can still get lost in a huge room or open concept space.

So put your candle in a nook where you love being or a smaller room, so you can fully enjoy your candle!
